Through my minor in Creative Technology and Design, I learned the foundations of technological platforms and applied my critical thinking skills to design projects. I have explored creative problem solving, design from visual, physical, and auditory perspectives, fundamental programming concepts, digital image making, digital photography, web design, and typography. Being able to push myself into an area of interest where I was initially unfamiliar with the tools used is an accomplishment, and I hope to use these skills as a part of my career in the future.

The image featured is an InDesign project I completed. It features a typeface and uses its origin to design a poster featuring the different fonts within it.

Since finishing school, I have pursued freelance marketing jobs that allow me to explore my creativity in photography and graphic design. Pictured to the right is a poster used in a marketing campaign I ran to promote a local event to raise money for the American Cancer Society and celebrate ringing in the new year. I worked with the team to assess the vibe of their event, who they wanted to attract, and the message they wanted to spread. From there, I researched to gain insight and inspiration and conducted a photoshoot to portray what they sought. After shooting around 200 images, I took them to Canva Pro, where I created posters in different formats and dimensions for their email marketing campaign and social media stories.

I have intro-level knowledge of utilizing HTML, CSS, and Javascript to code interactive websites through GitHub. The project featured here was a final assessment for my Web Design course in my Creative Technology and Design Minor. It uses HTML, CSS, and JS to increase or decrease the volume of a sound I added to the Javascript code. I incorporated sound, color palette, and typography to emulate a tranquil environment for my user.
